2003 Chrysler Concorde
Perhaps Chrysler's most well rounded vehicle, the 2003 Chrysler Concorde
exhibits such a range of features and attributes that there is essentially
nothing lacking at all. Proof that this mainstream, full-size sedan packs
in a whole lot of value is evidenced by the 'Best Buy' title bestowed
upon it by Consumer Guide.
Even though the 2003 Chrysler Concorde receives only a few changes from
last year's model, that is not to say that it isn't right up there with
the times. One need only remember an oft-used saying when considering
this fact: 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' Nothing can sum up the Chrysler
Concorde better.
Available Models
The 2003 Chrysler Concorde is offered in three trim levels: LX, LXi and
Limited.
Interior Features
The four-door Concorde seats five, or six with an optional front bench.
Part of the value of the Concorde lies in its generous distribution of
standard features. On base LX models, air conditioning, cruise control,
an 8-way power driver seat with manual lumbar adjustment, a center console,
cupholders and a convenient trunk pass-through are just some of the basic
appointments. LXi models add leather upholstery, a CD player, a trip computer
and more.
At the top of the 2003 Chrysler Concorde line is the Limited model, which
takes everything the previous two trim levels offer and throws in heated
front seats, a memory driver seat and mirrors, an 8-way power passenger
seat, heated power mirrors and an analog clock.
Exterior Features
The 2003 Chrysler Concorde proudly displays the Chrysler nameplate on
its distinct front grille. The sleek line of the Concorde results in a
coefficient drag of 0.308 for better wind resistance and improved noise
reduction.
Performance
Each of the three trim levels is given a separate engine, providing customers
with a varied set of power configurations to choose from. The LX model
is equipped with a 200-horsepower 2.7-liter V6 engine, while the LXi has
a 3.5-liter V6 with 234 horsepower. The speed king is the Limited model,
which boasts a 3.5-liter V6 that pumps out 250 horsepower.
All Chrysler Concorde models use a 4-speed automatic transmission. The
Limited model and LXi models with a Luxury Touring Group get traction
control.
Safety and Security
Safety and security are addressed with dual front airbags, 4-wheel disc
brakes and an emergency inside trunk release. The top-line Limited adds
antilock brakes (optional with other models). Front side impact airbags
are optional across the board.
