Let's take it up a notch with Honda's high-performance roadster, the
S2000. For 2003, Honda chose not to mess with a good thing, as the 2003
Honda S2000 remains mostly unchanged from last year. Sleek and powerful,
the two-seat S2000 will delight your senses and then some. Style, speed,
luxury. What more could any roadster enthusiast ask for?
Available Models
The 2003 Honda S2000 is available in one completely loaded luxury trim.
Words like leather and power find a way of repeating themselves. With
nothing left for want, let's get started on what standard luxuries you
can expect

colors, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, air conditioning
with air filtration, power windows, door locks and mirrors, cruise control,
and tachometer are all standard. Textured aluminum pedals grace your underfoot.
You will find the instrumentation panel visually pleasing and easy to
read with an all-digital display. Also please your acoustic sensibilities
with an AM/FM stereo system with in-dash CD player and remote-operated
controls.
Exterior Features
Electrically powered soft-top with rear glass window, dual-outlet exhaust,
high-intensity discharge headlights, 16-inch lightweight alloy wheels,
and wind deflector are all standard exterior features. Chrome-trimmed
taillights add to the S2000's sophistication. Bridgestone's Potenza S-02
tires come stock with 205/55 on the front and 225/50 on the back. A removable
aluminum hardtop is also included.
Performance

16 valve DOHC in-line 4-cylinder engine cranking out 240 horsepower @

rev it up there with a 9000 rpm red-line. The S2000 comes with a close-ratio
6-speed manual transmission with limited-slip differential. Independent
in-wheel double wishbone suspension with coil springs will help ease the
bumps. Estimated fuel mileage is 20/26 (city/hwy) mpg.
Safety and Security
Standard safety features of the 2003 Honda S2000 include dual front airbags,
antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, side-impact door beams, and integrated roll
bars. Also standard is remote keyless entry and the Immobilzer theft-deterrent
system that prevents the S2000 from being started up if an unauthorized
key is used.
