This luxury SUV is newly styled for 2003, and comes with enticing new
options. One of these is Lexus's Night View system, which uses a unique
night-vision camera and light sensors to project an image on the windscreen,

2003 Lexus LX 470 is also as feature-loaded as any Lexus vehicle on the

Available Models
The 2003 Lexus LX 470 is available in one 4-door wagon model, and comes
with 5-speed automatic transmission. This truck-size SUV holds three rows
of seats, and can accommodate eight passengers.
Interior Features
In the 2003 Lexus LX 470, both the second and third rows of seats are
split and fold down, providing a copious amount of cargo room. Standard
interior features include a DVD player, steering wheel audio controls,
and separate rear audio controls. There is also an AM/FM/cassette 6-disc
CD changer, power steering, cruise control, and air conditioning with
climate controls in both the front and the rear of the vehicle. This SUV
is trimmed with wood, and furnished with leather upholstery. Its steering
wheel is also wrapped with leather, while its front bucket seats are heated
and power-controlled, and equipped with lumbar adjustment on the driver
side. There is a compass, a trip computer, and an outside temperature
display.
An option that is sure to be popular is the rear-seat DVD entertainment
system. A navigation system with voice control is also an option on the
2003 Lexus LX 470.
Exterior Features
Rain-sensing wipers are a standard feature on the 2003 Lexus LX 470, as
are 18-inch alloy wheels, running boards, and rear privacy glass. A power
sunroof is also standard. Options on this SUV include a roof rack, and
a rear spoiler.
Performance
The engine inside the Lexus LX 470 is a 4.7-litre V8, which produces 235
hp at 4800 rpm, and 320 lbs-ft of torque at 3400 rpm. This SUV performs
exceptionally in all conditions, thanks to its all-wheel drive system
with low-range gearing, limited-slip center differential, and limited-slip
rear differential. Its Adaptive Variable Suspension system provides driver-adjustable
shock absorbers and ride height, enhancing an already smooth ride.
Safety and Security
Safety reaches new heights with the night-vision system now available
on the 2003 Lexus LX 470. An anti-skid/traction control is a standard
safety feature on this SUV, as are anti-lock 4-wheel disc brakes, front
torso airbags, and first and second row curtain side airbags. Other safety
features include brake assist, and daytime running lights. A theft-deterrent
system is included with purchase of the Lexus LX 470.
