The 2003 Toyota RAV4 is the smallest SUV in the Toyota SUV line-up. It was actually the first compact SUV to be based on car engineering and it started a trend in 1996 when it was introduced. This is a great little vehicle with solid interior amenity levels, good performance, respectable fuel economy and throughout, Toyota's standard for reliability, quality and value.

Toyota's Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) helps boost torque at low- and mid-range engine speeds, resulting in sporty performance and ample power for highway readiness.

Safety and Security
Safety features include dual-front airbags and optional 4-wheel antilock disc brakes and daytime running lights.

Easy-to-reach controls and roomy accommodations ensure comfort in the front and back seats. The ergonomic front seats include standard height adjusters, providing occupants of any height with a true "command" view of the road that SUV customers prefer. Even with a greater ride height than sedans, the RAV4 is easy to enter and exit.
Privacy glass, a rear tonneau cover and carpeted floor mats, and cargo mats - all available as separate options - are also included in the L package, which has proven popular with RAV4 customers. An optional leather-trimmed interior, available in conjunction with the "L" package, brings a taste of luxury to the RAV4.
