Ford Offers Customers a 'Free Ride'

DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 12, 2002 - Ford is offering its customers the opportunity to take a "free ride" with a new retail-marketing program. Ford will offer no payments until January 2003 in addition to the current 0.0% financing or cash rebates on all remaining 2002 Ford brand cars, trucks and SUVs.

Ford currently is offering 0.0% financing for up to 60 months or up to $3,500 cash rebates on most models. The take a "free ride" deferred payment program can be combined with the current financing or cash rebates being offered and no 2002 models are excluded.

Available Thursday, Sept. 12 through Monday, Sept. 30, the program will help Ford sell the majority of its 2002 inventory.

Corporate advertising for the "free ride" program begins Sept. 12 with national and top 30 market newspaper print ads. Network television spots focusing on the freedom of flexibility will begin Saturday, Sept. 14. Regional and local dealer ads will follow.
