Toyota Announces Prices For 2004 Sequoia, 4Runner,
Land Cruiser And Celica
Torrance, Ca, Aug 18, 2003 - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., announced manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) today for the 2004 Sequoia full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), the 4Runner mid-size SUV, the Land Cruiser full-size SUV, and the Celica sport coupe. All four vehicles go on sale at the end of August. The Sequoia enhances its value for 2004 with the addition of power front driver and passenger captain's chairs and rear air conditioning as standard equipment on the SR5 grade. The premium Limited grade now features a tilt/slide power moonroof as standard equipment. Even with the additional standard equipment, Sequoia pricing carries over unchanged from last year, adding up to an excellent value. Pricing for the Sequoia ranges from an MSRP of $31,625 for the 4x2 SR5 grade to $44,220 for the 4x4 Limited. All-new in 2003, for 2004 the popular 4Runner adds a tire pressure warning
system as standard equipment on all models. Additional features include
an available third-row seat on Limited and SR5 models, providing seven-passenger
capability. All 4Runners will also feature a back-up camera monitoring
system on the optional navigation system. When the 4Runner equipped with
the navigation system is in the reverse mode a video camera mounted in
the rear door automatically displays a wide-angle view behind the vehicle
to assist the driver in safely pulling out of parking lots or garages. The legendary Land Cruiser carries over largely unchanged for 2004. Like the 4Runner, Land Cruiser's optional navigation system will now be equipped with a rear back-up camera monitoring system. The Land Cruiser will carry a base MSRP of $54,225, an increase of $270, or 0.5 percent. The Celica sport coupe adds two new grades for 2004. Based on the existing GT and GT-S grades, Celica now offers the exciting GT and GT-S Action Package models. Formerly available as a stand-alone option package, the new Action Package grades include an aggressive front bumper, side rocker panels, a rear aero bumper, and an extreme rear spoiler to give the Celica a customized look. In addition to the new Action Package grade, High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights are now available as an option on all Celica models. The base MSRP for the Celica GT with a five-speed manual is $17,390,
and $18,190 for the automatic. Both prices represent an increase of $50,
or 0.3 percent. The base MSRP for the GT-S grade ranges from $22,055 for
the six-speed manual to $22,755 for the automatic, an increase of $50,
or 0.2 percent. The base MSRP for the all-new Action Package grade ranges
from $18,980 for the GT with a five-speed manual transmission to $24,235
for the GT-S with an automatic transmission.
