Chrysler LLC Continues Strong Retail
Sales Across the Midwest, the Rockies and the Plains
Denver, Apr 3, 2009 - Chrysler LLCs sales throughout
the Midwest, the Rockies and the plains of America posted
a retail sales increase of almost 3 percent over February.
The region has shown positive sales growth for two consecutive
months despite industry trends. Chrysler LLC also bucked
the trend nationwide reporting March U.S. total sales greater
than 100,000 units for the first time since Sept. 2008 and
increased retail market share to an estimated 10 percent.
On top of a second month of sales improvements, Dodge Ram
1500 was awarded the 2009 Truck of the Year and the Dodge
Challenger was awarded the 2009 Car of the Year by the Rocky
Mountain Automotive Press Association.
We are honored by the continuing vote of confidence
from our customers, dealers and media across this region.
Our focus remains to keep rebuilding their confidence and
trust, said Fred Diaz, Director Denver Business
Center, Chrysler LLC.
Strong performers in March (vs. February sales) for the
Denver Business Center include:
- The Jeep Liberty was up 16 percent
- The all-new, award-winning Dodge Ram had its second
consecutive month of growth up almost 9 percent for March
- The entire Dodge brand had more than an 8 percent increase
vs. last month
- With best-in-class fuel economy, the Dodge Journey also
celebrated a second consecutive month of sales increases
- up another 14.7 percent
The market is starting to show small signs of life
which need to be nourished like seedlings, said Jim
Press, Vice Chairman and President, Chrysler LLC. The
fact that we exceeded 100,000 units for the first time since
last fall is encouraging, and evidence that our improved
quality, improved mileage as well as value represented in
Employee Pricing Plus Plus are just what the doctor ordered
for recession-wary customers who are reluctant to make long-term
purchases. Its too early to see a trend, but spring
shows signs of hope.
Chrysler LLC will extend through April 30 the Employee
Pricing Plus Plus program, which offers the employee price
to all customers purchasing or leasing a select new Chrysler,
Jeep or Dodge vehicle. With feedback from our dealers, we
bring back 0 percent for 48 months through Chrysler Financial
on select products to provide qualified customers with more
financing options (or flexibility). In addition, customers
are eligible for cash discounts of up to $3,500 for 2009
model year vehicles. Also, there are great deals on any
2008 models in stock. Additionally, to celebrate the 25th
anniversary of the Companys minivans, customers can
add at no change a DVD player on Chrysler Town & Country
or Dodge Grand Caravan.
