2004 Buick RainierOne of the new models GM is proud to introduce is the 2004 Buick Rainier. The Rainier is the first truck-based sport utility vehicle in the Buick family. It is a midsize model that benefits from this architecture with increased ruggedness, durability and power. The 2004 Buick Rainier comes with two brawny engines and plenty of upscale features. The only midsize regular length SUV in the entire GM family to offer a powerful V8, the 2004 Rainier is available with rear-wheel drive with traction control or with an all-wheel drive configuration that does not include low-range gearing. Available Models Interior Features With all its standard features, the new Rainier could almost fit into the luxury segment, were it not for its price. Air conditioning with dual-zone automatic climate controls, the OnStar telematics system, a tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio and climate controls, leather upholstery, a memory system (driver seat, mirrors) and a trip computer are all standard. The 2004 Buick Rainier uses QuietTuning, which increases sound absorption in the engine compartment, doors and quarter panels. For options, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system tops the bunch. Exterior Features Performance The 2004 Buick Rainier uses independent front suspension and five-link, electronically controlled rear air suspension. With this system, sensors manage a compressor that instantly adjusts air spring pressure to maintain a level load. Power junkies can opt for the 5.3-liter V8 without hesitation. It cranks out a whopping 290 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 325 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. Safety and Security
