Performance

The R/T has a considerable increase in power. It uses a 3.0-liter V6 engine that can produce 200 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 205 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm.

Both engines can be mated to either 4-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission. With the R/T, Dodge offers available AutoStick manual shift capability that gives drivers of automatic-transmission models the option to take over the shifting when they want. The handling is also a little tighter on R/Ts, thanks to its steering setup and sport suspension.

Safety and Security
The 2005 Dodge Stratus coupe has a safety cage construction with steel side-guard door beams. 4-wheel disc antilock brakes with low-speed traction control are available on R/T models and side airbags are available on both coupe models.
