Featuring an aerodynamic and sleek mid-engine design and signature Acura styling, the new 2002 NSX is highly appealing to sports car enthusiasts. Making it even more attractive are a long list of luxuries and high performance standards, combining to create one world-class sports car that not only looks terrific but drives like a dream.

Available Models
One single model of the Acura NSX is offered this year, but you are given a choice between two impressive powertrains - a 3.0-litre V6 and a 3.2-litre V6. Both deliver exceptional comforts and convenience backed by simply outstanding performance.

Interior Features
2002 Acura NSX InteriorThe well-appointed Acura NSX brims with amenities including standards such as automatic climate control, a premium Acura/Bose audio system with crisp and powerful sound, power windows, power door locks, and cruise control. The interior is designed to look like that of a jet fighter cockpit, and is finished off in sporty opulence with hand-stitched leather upholstery and black chrome plating on the center panel. There are six new interior colors available this year to keep the look contemporary and fresh.

Exterior Features
Of course, one of the major highlights of the Acura NSX is the removable roof panel for great open-air driving. Featuring an updated look, the NSX now sports a redesigned fascia, lighter fixed-position HID headlights, an aggressive front bumper, revised chin spoiler, and revised hood line. The rear of the vehicle has also been revisited with circular housings around the turn signals, revised badging, revised rear bumper with air diffuser, new trunk lip spoiler, and new exhaust finishers.

Performance
NSX engineTwo different powertrains are available to suit your enthusiasm for driving. The first is a 3.0-litre, DOHC, 24-valve six-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 252 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with a four-speed Sequential Sport Shift automatic transmission.

Your second choice is a powerful all-aluminum 3.2-litre, Dohc, 24-valve, 90-degree six-cylinder engine with a six-speed, close-ratio manual transmission combining to crank out 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque.

Each of the powerful NSX engines is built with variable valve timing and lift electronic control, variable volume induction system, direct ignition, and a computerized programmed fuel injection system found in Formula One racecars.

Safety and Security
Standard safety equipment in the Acura NSX includes a remote keyless entry system, passenger depowered air bag, driver depowered air bag, three-point seatbelts at outboard seating positions, and an electronic immobilizer system to ward against theft. As well, each vehicle has been designed with side impact door beams, and both front and rear crumple zones to channel the energy of an impact away from the cabin.
