The 2003 Buick Century is lowest priced car in the lineup from this erstwhile brand. What this really means to the consumer is a full choice of luxury enhancements. The list of optional interior and exterior features that can be added to the 2003 Buick Century and this allows one to choose exactly what one wants to pay for. Mind you, this is not to say that the basic model is bare bones. As you will see from the description below, the 2003 Buick Century is a solid offering to the American car-buying public just the way it is.

Available Models
The 2003 Buick Century doesn't mess around with different models. Instead, a number of major options packages are available that selectively enhance certain arrears of the car. These include the Custom Package and the Limited Package, which builds upon it.

Interior Features
The 2003 Buick Century has air conditioning with dual zone manual climate control and an interior air filter to control the quality of the interior environment. This comfort is enhanced by cloth upholstery on front and back bench seating with armrest storage compartment in front and optional armrest with cup-holders in back.

Power features include, windows, door locks, mirrors and remote keyless entry and trunk lid release. An AM/FM is the standard stereo with available upgrades including the OnStar System for communications, emergency services and roadside assistance.

The Custom Package adds significantly to this list with cruise control, a 6-way power driver seat, a stereo upgrade, floor mats and more. Limited includes all these features but with leather upholstery and the rear armrest, among other things.

Exterior Features
The Century has a classic and traditional sedan look, featuring cornering lights and 205/70R15 tires. The Custom and Limited Packages add such details as chrome wheel covers and body-colored mirrors.

Performance
The 2003 Buick Century is fitted with a 3.1-liter overhead valve V6 that is capable of a respectable amount of power: certainly sufficient to hold its own at highway speeds when needed.

This little powerhouse has 175hp at 5200rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque at 4000rpm. It has 4-speed automatic transmission but it gets respectable fuel economy for the engine size and class, with 20/29 mpg (city/hwy).

Safety and Security
The Century comes with standard dual-front airbags while a driver's side airbag is available as an add-on. Daytime running lights, a theft deterrent system and an emergency interior trunk release enhance the standard safety fittings list.
Also available as an add-on is an antilock brake option that includes a tire pressure monitor and traction control.
