2003 Buick LeSabre
The 100 year old North American brand Name Buick has a lot of history
to maintain and the 2003 Buick LeSabre full-size sedan is in line with
that illustrious history. Sales support that statement, as the LeSabre
is North America's top-selling sedan. With this classically styled blend
of power and performance, it is no surprise that it has such success.
Available Models
The 2003 Buick LeSabre has two trim levels discussed here: the Custom
and Limited Editions. A third model for this year, a commemoration of
the company's 100 years of auto manufacturing, the 2003 Buick LeSabre
Celebration has a unique set of interior and exterior features that warrants
a second review.
Interior Features
The 2003 Buick LeSabre Custom has all the basic features one would expect
and then more. It is a fully loaded vehicle even though it is the lowest
trim level. Highlights include; air conditioning, cruise control, power
windows, mirrors, door locks, steering and remote keyless entry mean there
are many things you can do at the touch of a button. An AM/FM/CD player
and an 8-way power driver seat complete the list of highlights but it
by no means includes everything. Naturally, a number of available options
allow upgrades to particular aspects of the Custom model.
At the Limited Edition level, this list of interior features simply gets
even better. Automatic climate control, rain sensing wipers, OnStar Communications
System, stereo upgrade, leather upholstery, interior air filter, heated
10-way power front seats, trip computer. This is a luxury car with luxury
car features sold as a regular car in reach financially of regular people
and that is why it is such a strong seller.
Exterior Features
The 2003 LeSabre has 225/60R16 tires with alloy wheels a standard feature
on the Limited Edition. However, some nice exterior options are available
as add-ons, for example, cross-lace alloy wheels.
Performance
The Buick LeSabre has a overhead valve V6 3.8-liter, with 205hp at 5200rpm
and 230 lb-ft of torque at 4000rpm. It has 4-speed automatic transmission
but it gets respectable fuel economy for the engine size and class, with
20/29 mpg (city/hwy).
This doesn't really tell the story for this Buick. With descriptions
such as exceptional road manners and generally high marks for automatic
shifting and a comfortable ride, this sedan really insulates one from
the road, handles excellently and accelerates with assurance and power.
It will get you out of trouble at highway speeds or simply provide security
and comfort in rush hour hubbub.
Safety and Security
The Buick LeSabre is fitted out with automatic leveling control, 4-wheel
antilock disc brakes, daytime running lights and dual front airbags. The
Limited Edition adds front side airbags, a tire-pressure gauge and traction
control. A theft deterrent system enhances your family's security.
