Available Models
There are two models available the Escape Hybrid base model and the Escape Hybrid Limited.

The Limited includes upgrades such as premium leather trimmed seats, heated front seats and 6-way power driver's seat, ambient lighting, reverse sensing system, chrome upper and lower grille and liftgate garnish and a moonroof.

Interior Features
The interior is roomy for a compact SUV - when the 60/40 rear bench seat is folded flat a level cargo floor is created that gives a total of 66.1 cubic feet of cargo storage room. Both models feature an audio input jack while the base model come with an AM/FM single CD, four speaker sound system the Limited comes with an AM/FM 6-disc CD system with four speakers - both have SIRIUS satellite capability.

Available to the Escape Hybrid is a voice-activated Navigation system that features SIRIUS Travel Link service. This system is awesome and features real time traffic monitoring, as well as information such as local gas prices, movie listings, weather information and sports scores.

Exterior Features
The attractive exterior of both Escape Hybrid models comes with body-colored fascias, solar tinted glass, fog lights, and Easy Fuel™ capless fueling. The mirrors, roof rack side rails and door handles are black on the Hybrid while the Limited model comes with body colored mirrors and handles and chrome inserts on the roof rack side rails.

A moonroof is available on the base model and comes standard on the Limited.

Performance
Both models are powered by a 2.5 liter iVCT I4 Atkinson-cycle engine and permanent magnet electric motor and come with an Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT). Front wheel drive is standard for the Escape Hybrid but a 4-wheel drive is available to both models as an option. The engine is surprisingly peppy for a hybrid and produces 153 horsepower and will get you 34 mpg city driving on the front wheel drive vehicles.
