As a combination of the Ford Explorer and Ford F-150 the 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac gives its customers the best of both worlds - all the comfort of an SUV with the usability and ruggedness of a pick-up.

Available Models
The 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac is available in two models the XLT and the Limited.

Available packages are the Limited Convenience Package, the XLT Convenience Package, the Sun & SYNC Value Package and the Adrenalin Package. The Adrenalin Package really changes the look of the Sport Trac giving it unique front and rear fascias, unique headlights and fog lights, a new front fender and black grille.

Interior Features
The 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac seats five - the XLT comes standard with cloth front bucket seats while the Limited and Adrenalin Package models get leather-trimmed sport bucket seats.

Standard on the Limited and Adrenalin Package and available on the XLT is SYNC® in-car voice-activated communications and entertainment system. A voice activated DVD Navigation System with SIRIUS® TravelLink™ is also available for the Limited and Adrenalin Package.

Exterior Features
Standard on all models is rear passenger privacy glass and a power sliding rear window. The Sport Trac XLT comes with black door handles and black front and rear bumpers - while the Limited version has body colored front and rear bumpers and body colored handles. Standard on the XLT is black foldaway power mirrors while the Limited gets heated body colored foldaway power mirrors. A power moonroof is available for all models.

The Sport Trac comes in the following exterior colors:

Performance
Standard on all models is a 210 horsepower 4.0L V6 with 5-speed transmission achieving a fuel economy mpg of 14 city / 20 highway. For those who crave a bit more power a 292 horsepower 4.6L V8 with 6-speed automatic transmission is available. Rear-wheel drive is standard with an optional four-wheel drive / all-wheel drive available.

Safety and Security
The 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac is loaded with safety features such as 2nd-generation driver and front passenger airbags, Safety Canopy® System with rollover protection, front seat side airbags, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™, SOS Post-Crash Alarm System, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
