The top luxury full-size 4-door sedan from BMW is the 7-Series. Offering
the best in luxury and performance but designed to be both practical and
drivable, the 2003 BMW 745i and the 2003 BMW 745Li are comfortable, stylish

Available Models
The 7-Series has two entries, the 2003 BMW 745i and the 2003 BMW 745Li,
an extended version of the same basic model with a content upgrade.
Interior Features
The interior of the BMW 745 cars is rich and textured with plush materials
and a simple BMW design. The interiors of the 5-Series cars are pretty
luxurious. Standards include front and rear dual-zone automatic climate
control, leather upholstery on 10-way power front seats and plush bench
seat, heated power mirrors, wood trim, rain-sensing wipers, an automatic
day/night rearview mirror and a premium audio system are standard fittings.
16-way power comfort seats comes standard on the on the 2003 BMW 745Li,
which also comes with a slightly longer wheelbase and a focus on rear
passenger comfort.
An assortment of stand alone options and comprehensive equipment packages
are available to 7-Series buyers. These add great versatility and the
potential for additional luxury amenity.
Exterior Features
BMW has a look that is echoed throughout its extensive line of vehicles.
However, this look is exemplified by the 7-Series. Quiet, elegant and
confidence in performance capability allow these cars to radiate impressiveness
without showy or flashy glitz. The 7-Series has nothing to prove.
It also has lots of functional extras. Xenon high-intensity discharge
headlights, heated windshield washer jets, heated side mirrors and metallic
paint are all standards also. Rain-sensing wipers are included at this
level but star-spoke alloy wheels and a liquid high-pressure headlight
cleaning system are extras.
Performance
An award-winning 4.4-liter V8 engine powers the largest and most powerful
sedans at BMW. This powerplant has been very successful and is standard
equipment on the 2003 BMW 745 and 2003 BMW 745Li. It pumps out 325hp at
6100 rpm and 330 lb-ft of torque at 3600. It comes with a 5-speed automatic
transmission with optional manual shift capability.
The six-speed automatic transmission is capable of 18/26.
Safety and Security
Active safety includes traction control, an antiskid system and active
roll stabilization (ARS), which counters lean. The 4-wheel antilock disc
brakes with brake assist are powerful and sophisticated. Passive systems
include front and side airbags, curtain side and torso side airbags, front
and rear active head restraints and more.
