2003 Mazda Truck
The 2003 Mazda Truck B series offers a pickup truck that can be purchased
with either a regular-cab body or an extended-cab body. The extended-cab
body comes in either the 2-door version called Cab Plus or the 4-door
version called the Cab Plus 4.
Available Models
The 2003 Mazda Truck B series is available in the following models: the
B2300 SX, the B2300 SE, the B3000 SE, and the B4000 SE. The B2300 SX comes
with a regular cab and 2-wheel drive. The B2300 SE comes with the Cab
Plus extended cab and 2-wheel drive. The B3000 SE comes with the Cab Plus
4 extended cab and 2-wheel drive. The B4000 SE comes with either the Cab
Plus or the Cab Plus 4, and 4-wheel drive. All models offer the consumer
several major options packages.
Interior Features
The interior features of 2003 Mazda Truck B series include a number of
standard options. These are power steering, a split bench seat, a tachometer,
and a floor consolette. The B2300 SE, B3000 SE, and B4000 SE also come
equipped with air conditioning, cloth upholstery, and a cargo box light.
Options range from a leather-wrapped steering wheel and cruise control
to power windows, locks, and doors and remote keyless entry. The Off-Road
package, available in the B4000 SE, provides the driver with an interior
compass, outside temperature indicator, and an automatic day/night rearview
mirror.
Exterior Features
Standard exterior features on the 2003 Mazda Truck B series include a
sliding rear window, rear step bumper, and 4-wire trailer harness. The
B2300 SE, B3000 SE, and B4000 SE also come equipped with rear privacy
glass, chrome bumpers, and alloy wheels. The B3000 SE and the B4000 have
rear-hinged doors, while the B4000 is also provided with front tow hooks.
Performance
The 2003 Mazda Truck B2300 SX and SE models have a 2.3-litre 4-cylinder
engine under the hood, which provides 143 hp at 5250 rpm, and 154 lbs-ft
of torque at 3750 rpm. The B3000 SE has a 3.0-litre V6 engine, which gives
154 hp at 5200 rpm, and 180 lbs-ft of torque at 3900 rpm, while the B4000
SE contains a 4.0-litre V6 engine, which provides 207 hp at 5250 rpm,
and 238 lbs-ft of torque at 3000 rpm. The B4000 SE is also equipped with
a limited-slip differential. All the B-series models are 5-speed manual
transmission, and all come with an automatic transmission option, with
the exception of the B2300 SE.
Safety and Security
Anti-lock brakes, dual front airbags, and a theft-deterrent system are
standard on all Mazda Truck B series models.
