Visit Volvo for more information on the Volvo S60.

It's not enough that the S60 is the best-selling model from Volvo, one that comes in a smooth sedan's form with an abundance of standard features. And it's not enough that the S60 is thoroughly safe, as all Volvo vehicles are.

It's not enough because Volvo truly puts time and effort into making the best possible cars for today's world. So like all Volvo models, the S60 comes with an Environmental Product Declaration certified by Lloyd's Register of London, UK. This declaration certifies that the S60 meets environmental standards throughout the life cycle of the car.

For 2004, there is a new model, plus a of bit engine reshuffling. Other than that, the 2004 Volvo S60 remains confident, strong and safe.

Available Models
The 2004 Volvo S60 is offered in a total of four models: base, 2.5T, T5 and R. T5 and R models are covered separately.

Interior Features
The four-door S60 is plenty spacious. It seats five passengers, providing up to 42.6 inches of front leg room. Up front, the head room tops out at 38.7 inches.

The 2004 Volvo S60 is well appointed, with many standard features even at the base and 2.5T trim levels. For instance, base models receive air conditioning with dual-zone manual climate controls, a tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio controls, power folding rear headrests, heated power mirrors, power windows and door locks and an AM/FM/cassette/CD player.

There are Premium Packages offered with each of the Volvo S60 models. With the 2.5T, it adds leather upholstery, a power passenger seat, a power sunroof, a trip computer and a simulated-wood interior trim.

Exterior Features
The sleek exterior profile of the 2004 Volvo S60 contributes to an interior noteworthy for its quiet and reassuring sense of solidity.

Performance
Base models have a front-wheel drive setup, while 2.5T versions can also be had with all-wheel drive. This adds a stabilizing feature in inclement weather conditions for even more peace of mind.

The engine under the hood of base models is a 2.4-liter inline 5-cylinder model. It generates up to 168 horsepower at 5900 rpm and 170 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
2.5T models have a 2.5-liter turbocharged I5 engine. It comes with 5-speed automatic transmission, and it delivers 208 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 236 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpm.
