and responsive six-speed transmission with Adaptive Transmission Control,
electronic gear selector, and steering-wheel downshift controls.
The list goes on to include an aluminum four-link integral rear suspension,
aluminum double-pivot strut-type front suspension, and aluminum front
and rear subframes for a tremendous drive. The vehicle-speed sensing variable-assist,
variable-ration rack-and-pinion steering serves to improve handling and
control even more.

The BMW 745Li is equipped with active knee protection, adaptive
brake lights, a dual-stage driver air bag, dual-stage passenger air bag,
front-seat head protection, battery safety terminal, side impact air bags,
and coded driveaway protection. Each vehicle is also equipped with an
alarm system with operation from a remote interior motion detector, plus
a remote keyless entry system. Impact sensors instantly unlock doors,
