With dazzling good looks, and incredibly unique design and technology, and a bold new exterior for 2002, the Chrysler Prowler Hot Rod is ready to rumble for another exciting year. With its modern, hot looks still manage to retain an aura of nostalgia and has attracted a tremendous response from drivers.

Available Models
Just one Prowler Hot Rod will hit the streets this year, and it is absolutely packed with comfort and convenience features, plus terrific performance.

Interior Features
Each Chrysler Prowler Hot Rod sports an interior electrochromic mirror, and a seven-function mini-trip computer including mileage, compass, outside temperature display, distance to empty, trip odometer, and elapsed time display. Each vehicle features an AM/FM radio with cassette player, Six-CD disc changer, 320-watt amplifier and seven speakers with speed-sensitive volume.

Exterior Features
In addition to its truly outstanding and eye-catching appearance, the Prowler Hot Rod has a cloth convertible top, and Goodyear tires with run-flat capability. New for 2002 is the Inca Gold exterior paint; Prowler Orange and Prowler silver will be available later this year.

Performance
The highly impressive list of engine specifications reveals a 3.5-litre, 24-valve, sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection, 60-degree SOHC, all-aluminum V6 engine that cranks out a highly satisfying 253 horsepower and 255 lbs-ft of torque. Standard transmission is electronic four-speed automatic with an AutoStick shifter. Drive type is two-wheel rear. The Chrysler Prowler Hot Rod utilizes the most aluminum of any vehicle in North America.

A stiff suspension, low ground clearance, rack-and-pinion steering, and wide stance lend nicely to crisp, precise handling.

Safety and Security
The Chrysler Prowler Hot Rod features four-wheel disc brakes, front crumple zone, side impact door beams, a driver depowered air bag, and passenger depowered air bag. The passenger air bag features a cut-off switch to allow children to travel safely in the front. To that end, there is an upper child seat tether in the vehicle to accommodate youngsters.
