2002 Chrysler Sebring Convertible
The elegant and sophisticated new 2002 Chrysler Sebring Convertible is
poised and ready to go for another successful year with its strong presence,
exceptional performance, and long list of luxuries and amenities. It also
sports a fun-loving character and the convertible feature make driving
a blast with the top down.
Available Models
For the 2002 line up, three models are available with a variety
of options - Sebring Convertible LX, Sebring Convertible LXi, Sebring
Convertible Limited, and the Sebring Convertible GTC model (new for 2002).
Interior Features
Featuring the most interior size in its class, the spacious
and comfortable Sebring Convertible Limited sports a two-toned Deep Royal
Blue and Cream Leather Interior. New for 2002 on the Limited model is
an eye-catching Deep Royal Blue Leather Interior. The LX and LXi models
wear premium cloth or genuine leather in either Taupe or Sandstone.
Cargo space measures 11.3 cubic feet. The convertible top has a full
cloth headliner with sound and climate insulation and a solid glass back
window with electric defroster. A four-window down system works at the
touch of a button.
The Sebring Convertible is packed with features such as cruise control,
air conditioning, and power door locks. The GTC model includes two-tone
seats, special instrument panel inserts, white faced instrument cluster
dials, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player.
Exterior Features
Each Sebring Convertible is equipped with standard fifteen-inch
tires on the LX model, while the LXi and Limited models boast sixteen-inch
wheels. The GTC model features rear decklid spoiler, unique sixteen-inch
painted aluminum wheels, color-keyed bodyside molding and new badging
for a sporty appearance.
Performance
The Chrysler Sebring Convertible LX is built with a 2.4-litre,
DOHC, 16-valve four cylinder engine that checks in with 150 horsepower
and 167 lbs-ft of torque. The Sebring LXi and Limited models are powered
by a 2.7-litre, DOHC, 24-valve V6 engine that cranks out 200 horsepower
and 190 lbs-ft of torque (optional on LX). Sebring Limited has a standard
AutoStick. The GTC model is equipped with a 2.7-litre V6 engine with sport-tuned
suspension, and choice of five-speed manual transmission or automatic.
Safety and Security
Each of the Sebring Convertible models is equipped with a passenger
depowered air bag, driver depowered air bag, seat belt pretensioner, three-point
seatbelts, head restraints, internal emergency trunk release, and upgraded
safety cage.
ABS Plus brakes are optional on the LX and LXi models, and standard on
the Limited.
