Interior Features
The impressive Jetta Wagon is equipped with standard features
such as an automatic door locking feature, power door locks with central
power locking system, CFC-free air conditioning, two folding keys, valet
key, chrome interior door handles, AM/FM stereo with cassette player,
60/40 split folding rear seat for extra cargo space, and a sporty four-spoke
padded steering wheel.
Some of the higher end models are equipped with a leather-wrapped steering
wheel with cruise and audio controls, heated front seats, power windows,
eight-way power driver's and passenger's seats, luxurious leather seating
surfaces, premium AM/FM stereo with CD player, cruise control, and electronic
climate control to keep you comfortable.
Exterior Features
Each four-door Volkswagen Jetta Wagon is accented with body
color side moldings, body color mirror housings, body color grille with
center logo, body color door handles, body color bumpers with black lower
section, standard fifteen-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers (alloy
on the GLX VR6 model), and a roof-mounted flexible black whip antenna.
The rear hatch certainly comes in handy, and makes loading and unloading
cargo - or the family dog - quick and easy.
The five top-end Jetta Wagon models are equipped with heated dual power
outside mirrors and available heated windshield washer nozzles.
Performance
The base model VW Jetta GL 2.0L Wagon and GLS 2.0 Wagon are
both built with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that exacts 115 horsepower
and 122 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission on these and all other
models is five-speed manual, with optional four-speed automatic transmission
available as an option.
The Jetta GL TDI Wagon and GLS TDI Wagon come with a 1.9-litre, turbo-charged
four-cylinder engine with an output of 90 horsepower and 149 lb-ft of
torque. The Jetta GLS 1.8T Wagon features a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder,
turbo-charged engine that cranks out 180 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque.
At the highest end, the Jetta GLS VR6 Wagon and GLX VR6 Wagon are equipped
with a 2.8-litre, six-cylinder engine that produces 174 horsepower and
180 lb-ft of torque.
Safety and Security
In the safety department, each Jetta Wagon is armed with an
immobilizer theft deterrent system, and the top five models are equipped
with a keyless entry system. The list of standard fare continues with
three-point seatbelts at all seating positions, child safety locks, child
seat tethers and anchors, side impact door beams, front and rear crumple
zones, driver air bag, passenger air bag, side impact air bags, and anti-lock
brakes.
