The 2003 Acura MDX has styling suitable for its sporty, performance oriented
abilities. This is a vehicle choice for people who want the utility of
an SUV without sacrificing their ability to go fast and drive for joy.
The aerodynamics reflects this but at the same time, good approach and
departure angles make the MDX a competent all-terrain ride. A roof rack
adds to Touring grade value while fully integrated fog lights and high

Performance
The MDX has a single engine choice, a 3.5-liter V6 coupled with a 5-speed
automatic transmission and ridden on an all-wheel drive platform. At peak
power this engine produces 260 hp at 5300 rpm, and 255 lb-ft of torque
from 3000 on up.
The important part of this engine, however, is that despite its brawny
capability, the innovative and sophisticated technology has allowed Acura
to design the first SUV to achieve ULEV or Ultra Low Emission Vehicle
status.
Mileage is also quite respectable with 17/23 mpg (city/hwy).
Safety and Security
The safety technology is another area where Acura has managed to offer
more for less, certainly more than average. Dual front airbags, front
side airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes and an antiskid system are
all include at the base level.
