2003 Chrysler Sebring Convertible
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring convertible is built for people who love the
rush of open-air driving. Generously decked out and with plenty of room
in the trunk, the Sebring Convertible is perfect for weekend getaways
in warm-climate areas.
Completely redesigned in 2001, Chrysler's convertible sports smooth lines
similar to the Sebring coupe and sedan. It has plenty of power, a long
list of standard features and a comfortable ride to boot. Perhaps that
is why it is one of America's favorite convertibles.
Available Models
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring convertible is offered in four trim levels:
LX, GTC, LXi and Limited.
Interior Features
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring convertible is a two-door vehicle that seats
four adults without a problem. The LX model features air conditioning,
power mirrors, windows and door locks and all sorts of other convenience
items.
The Sebring convertible's instrument panel is truly a practical feature.
An available Traveler's Display compass (standard on LXi and Limited)
keeps the driver abreast of direction, outside temperature, fuel economy
information, estimated distance to empty and more. With the add-on list,
customers are given the option to customize their convertibles however
they want.
Exterior Features
To the most important feature of any convertible: the top. A four-window
down feature with top operation lowers all four windows simultaneously
with the convertible top with the use of a one-button power-top switch.
The result is a process that takes only seconds to complete.
Performance
If you're going to be driving around with the top down, you need an engine
that kicks things up a bit. Manufacturers don't miss this point with their
selection of engines for the Sebring convertible. LX models come with
a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 150 horsepower. With the rest
of the model lineup, a 2.7-liter V6 cranks out the juice, delivering 200
horsepower (optional with the LX model).
A fully independent short/long-arm double wishbone suspension gives the
2003 Sebring convertible good response feel and control. The combination
of chassis stiffness, refined steering and gripping tires result in tight
cornering and handling.
Safety and Security
Safety features include standard 4-wheel disc brakes. ABS plus (standard
on Limited and available on LX, GTC and LXi models) senses differences
in wheel speed while braking in a turn, and uses software to process the
information and balance brake forces at each wheel to keep the vehicle
stable while braking and cornering. Next Generation multistage airbags
for driver and front passenger are also standard.
