Visit Chevrolet for more information on the Chevrolet Malibu.

The 2003 Chevrolet Malibu is a midsize car with great standard equipment offerings, good optional available extras, solid handling and is no slouch when it come to getting wherever it is you want to go. Choose between two trim levels for varying degrees of luxury and power. The 2003 Chevrolet Malibu is smaller than Chevrolet's Impala, another midsize sedan, but it is targeted at a similar demographic and has a design principle based on a usefulness, comfort and reliability.

Available Models
The 2003 Chevrolet Malibu has two trim levels, base and LS. They both seat five passengers on front bucket seats and a rear bench seat; split folding with trunk pass through on the LS version. A variety of options packages and stand-alone options are available that allow you to design a version most suited to your needs as a consumer.

Interior Features
The 2003 Chevrolet Malibu Base model has great standard offerings that include air conditioning, power steering, variable intermittent wipers and a rear defogger, a tilt-steering wheel, tachometer, AM/FM/CD player and automatic headlights. Visor mirrors, floor mats and so forth add value at this level.

The selection is added to, at the LS level, by cruise control, power windows, door locks and mirrors, remote keyless entry, an improved stereo and a 6-way power driver seat.

Assorted optional additions include the power sunroof feature, leather upholstery and other styling or comfort details that let you selectively improve the base model rather than moving all the way up to LS for one item.

Exterior Features
The sporty 2003 Chevrolet Malibu is a classically styled Sedan and it enjoys a solid pedigree. It also has fog lights and alloy wheels at the LS level as finishing details. 215/60R15 tires are the standard rubber but low profile tires, a rear spoiler and a gold badge package can add to the sporty look of this fairly peppy car.

V6 power is standard on the Malibu. With a 3.1-liter overhead valve engine that pumps out 170 hp at 5200 rpm and 190 lb-ft of torque at 4000, this car is formidable on the pavement for its class, price and level of fuel economy.

The Malibu comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission and it gets 20/29mpg (city/hwy). A comfortable car to drive, this sedan is undemanding and is especially suitable for people who spend a lot of time on the road. The LS has standard antilock brakes.

Safety and Security
The Malibu LS is equipped with antilock disc brakes, daytime running lights and dual front airbags. A theft deterrent system enhances your family's security.
