2003 Chrysler Town & Country

The 2003 Chrysler Town & Country brings luxury to the minivan world without compromising any of the practical features needed to be successful in the market. Parents who have to manage the kids but who also like to travel with a bit of elegance need look no further than the Town & Country.

The 2003 Chrysler Town & Country comes equipped with everything you need to travel in comfort, luxury and style. With seven-passenger seating and features galore, the result is a very impressive minivan.

Available Models
The 2003 Chrysler Town & Country is offered in a total of five trim levels: LX, eL, eX, LXi and Limited.

Interior Features
Luxury does not give way to functionality with the latest version of the 2003 Chrysler Town & Country. Among the available equipment are number of features designed to accommodate varied passenger and cargo configurations. A 50-50 split 3rd-row bench seat is offered, allowing its 55-lb portions to remove individually, recline, or fold flat. Also available is a rear parcel shelf that locates at floor or midlevel positions and includes pop-up storage dividers.

There are many standard appointments with the Town & Country, as well as a fine list of luxury options to supplement the ride. An available industry-first movable/removable center console with power outlet secures in place between front seats or intermediate bucket seats. It also includes two separate storage compartments and a provision to hold tissues and a cellular phone. A rear-seat DVD system heads the options list.

Exterior Features
The 2003 Town & Country has two sliding side doors, with power operation for one or both side doors available. This includes a manual override that allows them to be closed or opened by hand during the powered phase. In addition, a power liftgate is also available.

Performance
Driving the Town & Country are two strong engines. The first, standard with LX and eL models, is a 3.3-liter V6 that pumps out 180 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 210 lb-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. The rest of the model lineup gets a beefier 3.8-liter V6 with 215 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 245 lb-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm (optional with LX and eL models). 4-speed automatic transmission is mated to both engine types.

With uplevel LXi and Limited Town & Country models, customers can opt for an advanced all-wheel drive system. In place, the AWD provides excellent handling and traction control.

Safety and Security
Dual front airbags and antilock 4-wheel disc brakes are standard. Town & Country Limited gets front side airbags (optional with all other models) and a tire-pressure monitor as part of its standard package.
