Kia's compact sedan. the Optima, is proving a winner once again. The
2003 Kia Optima is loaded with equipment, and oozes comfort. Priced below

Available Models
The 2003 Kia Optima is available in the LX and SE models. Both models
are 4-door sedans that seat five, and offer either 5-speed manual transmission
or 4-speed automatic transmission. Both can also be purchased with a choice
of engine: 4-cylinder or V6.
Interior Features
In the 2003 Kia Optima, a redesigned dashboard contains new audio and
climate controls, and makes everything easy to use and reach. This is
a roomy car for its class. Adding to its attractive interior are the following
standard features: power door locks, windows, and mirrors, a tachometer,
a digital clock, power steering, a tilt steering wheel, and cruise control.
The SE model goes a little further. It includes an 8-way power driver

This year, the Optima sports a new hood, grille, and taillights, as well

rpm. With the 2.4-litre engine, the fuel rating is 21/28 mpg (city/highway)
for manuals, and 20/27 mpg for automatics. The 2.7-litre engine offers
a fuel efficiency of 19/25 mpg. If automatic transmission is opted for,
it comes with manual shift capability. The Kia Optima's suspension is
superb, with double wishbone front suspension and independent multi- link
rear suspension standard on all models.
Safety and Security
Dual front airbags and front side airbags are standard on all the Kia
Optima models, as are 4-wheel disc brakes. Anti-lock brakes are optional
on the V6 models, while the SE models come equipped with fog lights.
