The 2003 Lexus GS 300 is available in one model, which, like all Lexus
vehicles, is loaded with extra features. It comes with 5-speed automatic
transmission.
Interior Features
As its loyal consumers have come to expect, Lexus offers a multitude of
standard interior features in the 2003 Lexus GS 300. Luxury materials
furnish the entire cabin, which is roomy, equipped with supportive seats,
and trimmed with wood. An AM/FM/cassette with in-dash CD changer is standard,
as are 10-way power front bucket seats with power lumbar adjustment. The
steering wheel is leather-wrapped, and has a power tilt/telescopic mechanism.
The 2003 Lexus GS 300 includes air conditioning with automatic dual-zone
climate controls and a sensor that detects the presence of exterior hydrocarbons,
also known as excessive smog. Other features offered as standard are cruise
control, map lights and power door locks and windows. Naturally this sedan
comes equipped with remote keyless entry, and remote fuel-door and trunk
releases. Heated power mirrors with automatic day/night functionality
are also included as part of the standard package.
Leather upholstery and memory seats are optional, and a navigation system
is also available.
Exterior Features
Lexus is offering three new exterior colors for the GS 300 in 2003. Standard
exterior features on this sedan include a power sunroof, and automatic
headlights, with an option for high-intensity discharge. On this vehicle,
16-inch tires are fitted onto alloy wheels, with chrome as an option.
A rear spoiler is also an option on the GS300.
Performance
The 2003 Lexus GS 300 houses a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine, which
produces 220 hp at 5800 rpm, and 220 lbs-ft of torque at 3800 rpm. Its
5-speed automatic transmission has manual shift capability that allows
the driver to be more involved in this car's amazing performance. The
GS 300 steers wonderfully, and demonstrates superb stopping capabilities,
thanks to its standard traction control system.
Safety and Security
The safety and security features that are standard on the GS 300 include
dual front airbags, front side airbags, and front curtain side airbags.
There is also an anti-skid/traction control system, and anti-lock 4-wheel
disc brakes, as well as daytime running lights, a theft-deterrent system,
and fog lights. All five seatbelts are equipped with three-point capabilities.
