Lexus is offering the option of 17-inch wheels with a special seven-spoke
design on the Lexus GS 430. For 2003, the manufacturer has also added
three new exterior colors to further entice customers.
Performance
The performance of the 2003 Lexus GS 430 rivals that of a sports car;
it produces 300 hp at 5600 rpm, and 325lbs-ft of torque at 3400 rpm. Capable
of achieving 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds, it offers great fuel economy for
this level of acceleration: 17/21mpg (city/highway). It is built with
a 5-speed automatic transmission, and a manual shift capability that contributes
to its precise cornering, and overall exemplary handling.
Safety and Security
Standard safety features on the Lexus GS 430 include dual front airbags,
front side airbags, and front curtain side airbags, as well as 4-wheel
anti-lock disc brakes, and an anti-skid system. A theft-deterrent system
is of course standard on this sedan as well.
