Available Models

Cab and SuperCab come in short- and long-wheelbase models, and all models
are available with either 2WD or 4WD systems.

control is basic on the SuperCrew, Lariat, and King Ranch.
The XL sports an AM/FM stereo, while the XLT and Lariat trucks add to
this a CD player. Pushing the limits, the SuperCrew has the option of
a rear seat entertainment package with VHS player and game outlets.
Exterior Features
The 2002 Ford F-150 SuperCrew comes equipped with a functional
bed extender that increases box length, and all trucks come with tie-down
hooks in each corner to keep cargo in place. A cargo light located on
the back of the cab allows you to see cargo easily at night, and a rear
step bumper enables quick and easy access to the box. The tailgate on
the XLT and Lariat is lockable, and is removable on all models.
Performance
Overall, the 2002 Ford F-150's engines are quieter due to the
latest improvements. The standard Regular Cab and SuperCab are equipped
with a 4.2-litre, OHV, V6 engine with an output of 202 horsepower and
252 lbs-ft of torque. SuperCrew models sport a 4.6-litre, SOHC, Triton
V8 that cranks out 231 horsepower and 293 lbs-ft of torque (optional on
Regular Cab and SuperCab).
All of the 2002 Ford F-150 models offer the option of an impressive 5.4-litre,
SOHC, Triton V8 engine that pumps out a stellar 260 horsepower and an
amazing 350 lbs-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a five-speed
manual with overdrive on Regular Cab and SuperCab, while four-speed automatic
is the norm on SuperCrew.
Towing packages can be added that allow this remarkable pickup truck
to tow from 4,150 lbs all the way up to 7,700 lbs.
Safety and Security
Each Ford F-150 Pickup Truck is equipped with four-wheel anti-lock
brakes. Inside the cabin, passengers are protected with driver side air
bag, passenger side air bag, three-point seatbelts, and head restraints.
Side impact door beams bolster the frame. Child seat tethers and anchors
enable youngsters to come along for the ride.
Additionally, each truck comes with a remote keyless entry system and
the SecruriLock theft deterrent system that only allows the engine to
be started with the appropriate key.
