OHV Vulcan V6 that produces 155 horsepower and 185 lbs-ft of torque, and
a 3.0-litre DOHC, 24-valve Duratec V6 that cranks out 200 horsepower and
200 lbs-ft of torque. Both accelerate quickly and quietly, with the Vulcan
option running on E-85 ethanol, or regular unleaded gas.
Safety
and Security
The 2002 Ford Taurus has received a five-star government crash
test rating for driver and right front passenger, and has received accolades
from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Each vehicle is equipped
with a driver depowered air bag, passenger depowered air bag, and electronic
crash severity sensor. The list continues with three-point seatbelts,
child safety locks in the rear seating area, and child seat tethers and
anchors.
Side impact air bags are available to you as an important option you
