Visit Pontiac for more information on the Pontiac Vibe.

The 2003 Pontiac Vibe is one of a new class of vehicle designed for adventurous young people with a small budget but a big appetite for performance, versatility and style. Fuel economy, cargo room and generous standard features are all big selling points for the 2003 Pontiac Vibe, a spacious member of the compact car class.

Available Models
The 2003 Pontiac Vibe has a Base version that comes in either front or all-wheel drive (AWD). The GT Edition, which sports a lot more power as well as brake and styling upgrades, comes in front-wheel drive only.

Interior Features
As with most other Pontiac vehicles, the Vibe Base has a good offering of great standard features. Air conditioning, power mirrors and steering, an AM/FM/CD player and cloth upholstery on height-adjustable front bucket seats are all included. These are just a few of the great standards.

The 2003 Pontiac Vibe is designed for a demanding and adventurous demographic and consequently it has useful features like automatic headlights, an outside temperature indicator, variable intermittent and defogging front and rear windows and wipers. The rear split-folding bench-seat also folds flat for increased cargo or functional enhancement.

The following are optional on the 2003 Pontiac Vibe: a Navigation System, stereo upgrades, sunroof and power features packages.

Exterior Features
The 2003 Pontiac Vibe has a number of exterior details that add to utility. Standard features include roof rack, fog lights and alloy wheels on the GT edition. Importantly, for those looking for a uniquely appointed vehicle, options packages allow for very specific functional enhancements like a rear bumper protector or 17-inch alloy wheels.

Performance
The 2003 Pontiac Vibe has a standard 4-cyl 1.8-liter engine capable of 130hp at 6000rpm and 125lb-ft of torque at 4200 rpm. The FWD 5-speed manual transmission gets a major 30/30 mpg (city/hwy). In contrast, this same engine fitted to the AWD 4-speed automatic transmission gets 27/32 mpg.

However, upgrading to the GT gets 50 extra horsepower! With 180hp at 7600 rpm and 130lb-ft of torque at 6800, this is a peppy car. The 6-speed manual tranny makes for a pinpoint driver control while. This engine gets 21/28 mpg.

Safety and Security
The Vibe has 4-wheel antilock disc brakes at the GT level while dual front airbags and daytime running lights are standard on both models.
