2003 Volkswagen GTI
The year is 1971. Wolfsburg, Germany. A team of Volkswagen engineers
burn the midnight oil on a project known only by its code name: EA337.
A real pocket-rocket, the GTI was finally inaugurated onto the U.S. automobile
scene in 1983. It's the 25th European anniversary of the GTI, and to celebrate
Volkswagen has produced a funkadelic model called the GTI 337, and decided
to share it with us over here in North America. Only 1,750 editions are
being shipped to American shores. Can you say hotcakes? As per usual,
the 2003 Volklswagen GTI is available in two other standard configurations.
