version, the sporty and sleek Honda Accord Coupe hits the market for 2002

The new 2002 Honda Accord Coupe is available in a wide array
of models with different standards, options, and performance specifications.
In the offerings this year are the Accord LX, Accord EX, Accord EX V6,

year are the Special Edition (offered in 2WD and 4WD) and Value Package
models.
Interior Features
The base Honda Accord Coupe features an AM/FM cassette player
with two speakers, optional air conditioning, center console with armrest
and storage compartment, a handy folding rear seat for extra cargo space,
and door pockets. The LX model tags on Power windows, power door locks,
cruise control, AM/FM stereo with CD player and six speakers, cup holders,
and standard air conditioning.
Moving
up the line, the impressive Honda Accord SE features a moonroof, an AM/FM
stereo with cassette player and CD player, attractive wood interior trim
on the four-wheel drive version and eye-catching silver accents in the
two-wheel drive model, and a power height adjustable driver's seat.
Exterior Features
At the entry-level standard equipment includes dual remote
manual outside mirrors, color-keyed bumpers, and optional alloy wheels.
The LX features additions such as color-keyed door handles, and color-keyed
dual power outside mirrors. The Accord SE Coupe is spiffed up with special
fifteen-inch alloy wheels instead of the standard wheel covers, and a
sporty moonroof. Finishing things off, the Value Package comes with exclusive
wheel covers, and contemporary chrome window trim.
Performance
Revving things up, the LX is built with an energetic150 horsepower
and 152 lb-ft of torque due to the addition of its VTEC valve train. The
six-cylinder models pack a 3.0-litre, 24-valve, SOHC, VTEC engine with
an output of 200 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque for tremendous performance
value.
Every Accord model is equipped with front-wheel drive, the LX model is
equipped with standard five-speed manual transmission. V6 models and the
SE all have four-speed automatic transmission as the standard, and every
Accord Coupe is fitted with all-season tires.
Safety and Security
The Honda Accord Coupe is bolstered with a host of safety features
that include an immobilizer theft deterrent system, driver depowered air
bag, passenger depowered air bag, internal emergency trunk release, three-point
seatbelts, child safety locks, and child seat tethers and anchors. ABS
brakes are standard on EX models and upwards, and the SE features a remote
keyless entry system and security system. Side impact air bags are available
as an option.
