Drivers appreciate them for the economical delivery of quality, longevity, excellent performance, and array of standard and optional features.

Air conditioning with air filter and a driver's armrest are both available.

Moving along to the Civic LX, the sound system is upgrade to include a cassette player, and standard conveniences include power windows, power door locks, driver's armrest and illuminated switch, cruise control, map lights, front cup holder with lid, and standard air conditioning with filtration.

The Civic EX throws it all together and adds an anti-theft CD player, front and rear cup holders, and a manual seat height adjuster.

Exterior Features
Basic fare on the DX and LX models include fourteen-inch wheels with full wheel covers, while the upper-end EX sports fifteen-inch wheels with full covers. LX includes dual power outside mirrors, and the EX has color-keyed dual power outside mirrors.

The Civic EX has a standard power moonroof with tilt feature. Exterior colors offered this year include Clover Green Pearl/Beige, and Taffeta White/Gray on all models, Radiant Ruby Pearl/Beige on the LX and EX only, and Taffeta White/Beige exclusively available on the EX.

Performance
The Honda Civic DX and LX sedans are each equipped with an aluminum -alloy, SOHC, 16-valve, in-line four-cylinder engine with sequential port fuel injection that combine to produce 115 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. The Civic EX achieves greater performance with a VTEC engine that increases the output to 127 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque.

Each front-wheel drive vehicle is fitted with all-season tires, and the standard transmission is five-speed manual with optional automatic transmission offered.
