Visit Honda for more information on the Honda Pilot.

In the middle of Honda's SUV lineup, the midsize 2003 Honda Pilot offers a great selection of standards, good performance and handling capability, quality components and in general, excellent value. With lots of room for 8 adult passengers, and lots of cargo, the 2003 Honda Pilot has all the characteristics and utility that has made the SUV class so popular with families and business people looking for more function than they can find in the average sedan.

90 cubic feet of cargo volume, the third row seat and AWD mean that you can go exploring with this light truck, and you can take your friends and your gear along for the ride.

Available Models
The 2003 Honda Pilot comes in a three trim levels; the LX and the EX and EX-L.

Interior Features
The 2003 Honda Pilot offers the high level of luxury that has come to be expected from the SUV class. Optional extras this year include sophisticated electronics such as a navigation system and a rear seat DVD entertainment unit. This features a flip-down LCD screen and wireless headphones and can be added to the EX-L.

The base LX offers air conditioning, interior air filtration, cruise control, and cloth upholstery on front bucket seats and a split folding rear seat, AM/FM/cassette/CD player, power steering, mirrors, windows and door locks.

EX adds automatic climate control and an 8-way power driver seat and a stereo upgrade with an in-dash 6CD changer and remote keyless entry.

The EX-L adds leather upholstery and has versions containing the sophisticated electronics. These are not factory options as much as they are added cost models. The Honda Pilot's do not have factory options.

Exterior Features
The 2003 Honda Pilot exterior, consistent with other Honda SUVs, is both stylish and functional. Alloy wheels, roof rails and an outside mounted full-size spare 235/70R16 tire adds value. Rear privacy glass is standard on the up-level EX model.

Performance
The Pilot is equipped with a sturdy 3.5-liter V6 engine that powers all three trim grades. This powerplant offers 240 hp at 5400 rpm and 242 lb-ft of torque at 4500. It comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission system and gets 17/22 mpg (city/hwy), pretty good for a vehicle that seats eight. The AWD allows the power to be directed to the wheels that have the most traction or can be set to be even front and back.

Safety and Security
Dual front airbags, front side airbags and 4-wheel antilock disc brakes are standard on all models.
