Performance

The next engine, in ES models, is a 3.5-liter V6 with 234 horsepower and 241 lb-ft of torque. The fastest of them all is the top-line SXT (as it should be). It has a 3.5-liter V6 as well, but with specs of 250 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque.

All engines are mated to an adaptive 4-speed automatic transmission. 4-wheel independent touring suspension is derived from the Intrepid's Winston Cup cousins, and comes standard on ES and SXT models.

Safety and Security
The 2004 Dodge Intrepid has dual front airbags, the LATCH child seat tether system and front height-adjustable shoulder/lap belts. Antilock brakes and front side airbags are standard.
