General Motors’ best-selling passenger car - the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier has returned with some changes this year. First a Sports Sedan and Sports Coupe model have been added and the LS and base models of the Cavalier have additional standard equipment.

Available Models
In all there will be six available models of the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier to choose from. The Cavalier Coupe and Sedan, Cavalier LS Coupe and Sedan and the Cavalier LS Sport Coupe and Sedan.

Interior Features
The 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe boasts a roomy interior that seats five comfortably. All models come with front cloth bucket seats, air conditioning, rear window defrost and rear seat heat ducts that warm the air under the front seats to the rear of the passenger compartment.

There is plenty of trunkroom and the entire rear seat folds down giving more trunk space, perfect for hauling larger items such as bicycles. A cargo net has also been included to keep things from sliding around.

For your listening enjoyment the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and Cavalier LS Coupes and Sedans come equipt with an AM/FM Stereo with CD Player and premium front coaxial speakers. Standard on the LS Sport Coupe and Sedan and available as an option on the other models is a Radio Data System (RDS) AM/FM stereo with CD and cassette player.

Exterior Features
The 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier comes with plenty of exterior features to complement its abiding good looks. Standard on all models are body-color body-side moldings, the body panels are made from galvanized steel providing excellent corrosion protection. The LS and LS Sport models come with electric remote mirrors and an electric sunroof is available as an option on all models.

Performance
Standard on the Base and LS models is a 2.2L 4-cylinder engine that puts out 115hp. The Z24 models come with a 2.4L twin cam 4-cylinder that is cranks out 150hp. The new 2.2L 4-cylinder Ecotech engine is available on the LS sport model and generates 140hp. A five speed manual transmission is standard on all models while a 4 speed automatic transmission with traction assist is available as an option.

Safety and Security
Standard on all models is power-assisted front and rear disc ABS brakes. The LS Sport model comes equiped with power door locks, power windows and electric rear window defrost.
