2003 Volkswagen EuroVan
It's big. It moves up to seven people. A 201 horsepower engine and 200
cubic feet of passenger space come standard. There's nothing minivan about
the 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan.
Available Models
The 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan is available in two people-moving trim levels:
the GLS or MV.
Interior Features
The 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan dishes up plenty of standard features like
climatronic automatic climate control system with front and rear controls
complete with a pollen and dust air filter. Also standard: cruise control,
a six-speaker cassette stereo system, heated power mirrors, multiple power
outlets, and tachometer. Front bucket seats with lumbar support, a rear
folding bench seat are standard on both models. The GLS contains single
seats in second row. While on the MV model, you will find two removable
center-row rear facing bucket seats, a handy side fold-up table, and a
luggage shelf. The MV also offers the option of a pop-up roof with a two-person
bed.
Exterior Features
Exterior features include heated windshield washer nozzles, heated power
remote mirrors, 16 inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and rear-privacy tinted
glass. A power sunroof with sunshade is also available on either model.
Other standard features include a collapsible front mounted antenna, rear
hatch door, and a rear wiper/washer system with intermittent wipe feature.
Performance
A hearty 2.8-litre, 201 horsepower, 6-cylinder engine moves up to seven
people and cargo with ease. Torque measures 181 lb-ft @ 2500 rpm. The
2003 Volkswagen EuroVan uses an adaptive 4-speed automatic transmission.
To maintain a steady footing, the EuroVan provides ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation)
and ESP (Electronic Stabilization Program), as well as EDL (Electronic
Differential Lock). In other words, it handles very well for a minivan.
Unleaded fuel mileage is 17/20 (city/hwy) mpg.
Safety and Security
As usual, Volkswagen takes care of its drivers and passengers with ample
safety and security features. On the inside ergonomically designed seats
support your body in the event of an abrupt stop. As well, dual front
and front side impact airbag supplemental restraints, side curtain protection,
anti-intrusion side door beams, collapsible steering column, and a steering
wheel specially designed to handle impact energy further your security.
On the outside four-wheel ABS power-assisted, vented front discs with
solid rear discs maintain braking efficiency with utmost reliability.
